Freedom Publishers Corp was organized and chartered on March 16, 2004 with purpose to make publishing available locally, worldwide. Traditional offset book publishing is a large scale undertaking involving transcription of print ready copy, making metal or other kind of plate for each page of text and offset printing a large volume, never less than one thousand books per production run, binding printed books into hardcopy and/or softcopy covers, warehousing the books for distribution through book wholesalers and retailers. New state of the art digital on demand book publishing has arrived and is here to stay.

During 2001 Digital Books on Demand Publishing was a $25.4 billion industry and is much larger today. Books on demand printing focus on small production runs of most often less than one thousand books. Traditional offset printing and binding require plates to be made for each page, expensive grinding procedures requiring many books printed in each run and lots of scrap. Digital printing and state-of-the-art perfect binding is comfortable with production runs from 750 to 100 copies or less, often much less. Initial review of a print ready book in galley form may require as few as one to five copies printed in book size, say 6 by 9-inch, with format on 8.5 by 11-inch single side paper for proofreader, editor notes and correction instructions. This is a pre-publication galley. A corrected galley in the same form must be printed for final author approval. From 50 to 500 copies or less may comprise a first digital printing production run. These books should be aggressively sold to book wholesalers and retailers in the local market with strict documentation of sales and impact particularly concerning book signings and other book promotions. New local authors, small and large businesses in the local area, schools, colleges, universities and other training venues, civic, church and charitable organizations, libraries, book wholesalers and retailers are part of the viable and readily available market for locally based On Demand Book Publishing.

125 Broad Street, Oshkosh, Wisconsin 54901 is our Freedom Publishers Corp On Demand Local Publishing Shop Prototype. Located on 3,300 square feet of commercial property the building is a one-story plant with 15 by 16 foot finished living quarters in the basement. 1.5 bath up and down. Upstairs has a new state of the art digital printer fed by a digital word processing system with also state of the art softcopy, hardcopy and overleaf binder. Business hours are from nine in the morning until five in the afternoon Mondays through Fridays save federal holidays, although production opportunities may warrant operation of second and sometimes third shifts. Staff per shift is one properly trained production sales person. Support technical, editing, proofreading, composition, interior and exterior format, sales, marketing, distribution staff is available at the corporate level on a per job time and materials basis. Total capital cost of this Prototype including real estate and building, leasehold improvements, furnishings, fixtures, equipment and basic inventory stock is just $110,000.
